Television is a good source of procrastination

That is, until you are no able to watch the one channel that allows for said procrastination. Here at school, the dorms have cable TV, powered by the University's "ResNet." I pretty much watch a grand total of four channels. 80% of my time is spent on USA, watching NCIS and SVU. 10% is on A&E, watching Criminal Minds. 5% is on ION, also watching Criminal Minds. When the other shows are over, I'm on Nic at Night watching old TV shows until bedtime. It's frustrating when the TV channel I watch the most has suddenly disappeared off of my TV. Oh, but not only off of mine. It's gone from the TVs at the gym, too.

You see, I try and go to the gym as often as possible. When there, I do a lot of cardio on either the elliptical or treadmill. I try and find an open one with a TV, so I can plug in my headphones and watch my favorite TV shows, which are almost ALWAYS on USA. Something about cop shootouts with vile criminals really speeds up my workout. I enjoy it. Keeps me going, if you will.

Now it's gone. Nobody at ResNet knows why. USA has been replaced by a scrolling DirectTV advertisement for ESPN PPV. I don't even care about sports. If I did, I couldn't get PPV in my room, so what the heck is the point of that?

GRR.

Fortunately, they're sending someone up to fix this for me. I WILL HAVE MY NCIS!
